By ticking the box for the ‘Rookie Rumble 2026 – Competitor Waiver and Release of Liability’ during the booking process, I confirm, of my own free will and on behalf of my underage children who are competing, that it is my intention (or that of the underage competitor) to participate in Rookie Rumble 2026, to be held at three UK wake parks between July and August 2025.
It is expressly understood that, in order to participate in Rookie Rumble 2026, I must register in accordance with the procedures published by the Organising Committee on its website (https://www.rookierumble.com) and/or through any other media that the Organising Committee considers appropriate.
I confirm that I (or the underage competitor) am aware of the nature of the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition and that the physical ability and experience held by me or the minor are suitable for participation in the appropriate category of the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s).
I further confirm that I (or the underage competitor) am in an acceptable state of health, both physically and mentally, to take part in the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s) and to carry out all activities involved.
I also confirm that I (or the underage competitor) have/has no history of illness or injury, and that I/he/she/they am/are not currently using any substance, medicine, drug or alcohol that would restrict my (or the underage competitor’s) abilities.
I expressly acknowledge and accept:
a) That all activities carried out during the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s) are undertaken at my own risk, and that my participation and any entry into restricted areas may cause physical injury, including partial or total disability, paralysis or death (hereinafter referred to collectively as the RISKS).
b) That such RISKS may arise as a result of my (or the underage competitor’s) acts, omissions or failure to act, and/or the acts, omissions or failures of others during the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s).
c) That these RISKS may result from the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition rules, the condition and layout of the facilities and equipment, the negligence of the persons released from liability under this document, weather conditions at the location of the competitions, or the activities themselves forming part of the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s).
d) That other RISKS may exist which are unknown or unforeseeable, or which, although foreseeable, are known to me and are expressly assumed by me, or which may arise due to Acts of God or force majeure.
e) That any financial losses and/or direct or indirect damages resulting from these RISKS may be serious and may permanently affect my future.
I expressly confirm that it is my intention to participate in the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s) and that my participation and any access to restricted areas are entirely at my own responsibility. I therefore assume full responsibility for all known and unknown RISKS and accept full responsibility for any loss, cost or damage arising therefrom, including but not limited to total or permanent disability, paralysis or death, even where such consequences arise wholly or partly due to the negligence of the parties released under this waiver.
Furthermore, I expressly undertake not to enter any RESTRICTED AREAS, meaning areas that require specific authorisation by way of an ID card, a permit issued by the Organising Committee, or by being employed by a Host Cable Park.
In the event of any accident arising from my participation, activity or inactivity before, during or after the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s), I authorise the organisers and/or their appointees to arrange medical assistance and transport to the nearest hospital designated by the Organising Committee and/or the Host Wake Park, and to authorise any medication, surgery or medical procedures considered necessary in their best efforts to protect my health.
I further release the Organising Committee and/or the Host Wake Park, their partners and trustees, associates, officials, directors, employees, executives, suppliers, agents, successors, collaborators and assignees from any liability arising from the actions described above or from any immediate or future consequences connected with my participation in the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s).
I hereby release from all civil, criminal, administrative and consular liability, and waive any right to bring legal proceedings against, the Organising Committee and/or the Host Wake Park, their partners and trustees, associates, officials, directors, employees, executives, suppliers, agents, successors, collaborators and assignees, participants, participating associations, organisations, regulatory bodies or any subdivision thereof, operators, owners, officials, rescue staff, staff working in restricted areas, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, owners and licence holders, inspectors, Rookie Rumble technical delegates, watchmen, insurers, consultants and any other person or entity involved in, or providing recommendations, instructions or risk evaluations in connection with the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s), together with each of their directors, shareholders, representatives, employees, contractors, agents, organisers, affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the Released Parties).
This release applies to all claims, legal actions or damages in relation to myself or the participating minor, including but not limited to death or property damage, whether caused wholly or partly by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise. I further expressly instruct my relatives and representatives not to bring any legal action against the Released Parties.
I acknowledge and accept that the Organising Committee has informed me, and/or my underage participating children for whom I act as legal representative, that competitors should hold appropriate competitive athlete insurance to cover financial loss and/or injury, including partial or total disability, paralysis and death.

If, as a result of this Release, I, my family members, heirs, successors or any related third party make a claim against any of the Released Parties, I agree to indemnify and hold each of the Released Parties harmless from any claims, legal costs, solicitor’s fees, liabilities, damages or expenses incurred, whether or not such claims are based on the negligence of the Released Parties.
I acknowledge and accept that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Accordingly, if the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s) are cancelled or postponed for any reason, including Acts of God or force majeure (including but not limited to hurricanes, tornadoes, storms, strikes, terrorist attacks or any other situation which the organisers believe may place participants at risk), the entry fee shall not be refunded and I shall not be compensated for any expenses incurred.
Such cancellation shall not be deemed to arise from negligence on the part of the organisers or any persons involved, and I hereby release all Released Parties from any liability in this respect.
I acknowledge and accept that, as a competitor in the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s), I must wear the official bib or ride shirt provided by the organisers at all times while on the dock and while competing.
The bib or ride shirt may not be transferred or exchanged. If I do not have the required bib or ride shirt, the organisers may exclude me from the competition(s), and I waive any claim or legal action arising from such exclusion.
I specifically authorise the organisers and/or their appointees to use my image and voice, in whole or in part, in connection with my participation in the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s), at any time and in any manner, and I waive any right to remuneration arising from such use.
I acknowledge and accept each and every sponsor of Rookie Rumble 2026. I agree not to display, promote or use the branding of any other company or sponsor that directly or indirectly competes with the official sponsors of Rookie Rumble 2026.
I further acknowledge that I have no right to request any financial or in-kind compensation for wearing or using sponsor clothing or accessories.
I, the undersigned, of my own free will and on behalf of my underage participating children, for whom I act as legal representative and next of kin, hereby accept the terms and conditions of this document, assume responsibility for the declarations made on behalf of the minor, and authorise the minor to participate in and attend the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s).
As parent and/or legal guardian, I also assume responsibility for the minor’s safety and welfare.
In the event of any dispute arising in connection with my participation in the Rookie Rumble 2026 competition(s), I agree that such dispute shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom, hereby waiving any other forum or jurisdiction relating to my current or future address.
I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTOOD this Release and Waiver Agreement, and that by ticking the box I voluntarily waive important legal rights, without any pressure, inducement, promise or guarantee.
I confirm that completion of the booking process constitutes an unconditional release of liability to the fullest extent permitted by law, and I acknowledge that any annotation, amendment, addition, error or deletion shall not alter the intent or binding legal effect of this document.
