Rookie Rumble runs a jam-style, section-based format instead of traditional single-run competitions.

Riders have more chances to land tricks, express their style and ride without the pressure of one perfect pass.

Because the format is different to most run-based events, all riders should familiarise themselves with the rules before competing so they know exactly how each section is scored and how results are decided.

Riders have a 7-minute open jam to land as many tricks as they want and show their full riding style.

Falls are not penalised, so riders are encouraged to try bigger and more creative tricks without fear.

The course is split into four sections, and riders can score separately in each part of the park.

Riders compete in groups based on their riding ability, not just their age.

Your final placing is calculated from your total performance across all four sections in that stop.

The single best trick landed in each section is rewarded, even if the rest of the sections were lighter.
